Baptism
Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water and in the word.“
(Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1213)
Baptism for Infants and Children
To have your child baptized at Holy Family, please contact us or attend a Baptism class at Holy Family. Baptism classes are on the first Sunday from 11:45am-1:15pm (after the 10:30am Mass) each month.
Note: At least one parent should be a registered parishioner at Holy Family and should attend one of these classes prior to having their child baptized to build a better understanding of the meaning and responsibility of the sacrament. If you are not a parishioner and would like to be, please contact the office.
Baptism for Older Children and Adults
If you have an older child or are an adult looking to be baptized, please click here for information about joining the Catholic Church through the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA).
